Christmas Morning Magic

Christmas morning was so much fun this year!  Both kids were super excited and seeing the joy in their eyes was awesome!

The only thing Greyson ask Santa for was a football helmet.  He got a Cowboys helmet that is made of fleece and him and Paul started playing football in the living room right away.  He also enjoyed his Lego's and Transformers Bumblebee cannon.

Piper enjoyed opening gifts!  She is at that age where she did not really care what was inside, she just liked tearing the paper!

Paul finally got some cowboy boots.  He was like a little kid with these boots!  He was so excited and told everyone he talked to about his new boots.  Greyson has been wanting Paul to get some boots too so he was also pretty happy.

Paul went on to put his Star Wars pancake molds from Santa to use for the first time.  Star Wars pancakes are becoming legendary in our home.

It was an awesome Christmas morning.  Great times!

Day 6

My attempt at portraits

So I needed a recent picture of Piper to include in her birthday invitation so I thought I would try to take them on my own.  Of course Greyson did not want to be left out.   When Greyson was little I thought I could take some decent pictures, but I have not had much luck with Piper.  Here is the final birthday invitation.  You can tell the two on the left were taken by a professional :)

What a weekend – Disaster x4 – Parenthood at its best

So maybe disaster is a strong word, but we definitely had four hiccups.  1.  We kicked the weekend off on Friday evening with a drive to a work BBQ Cook-off in West Arlington.  I underestimated traffic to say the least.  While on the highway, Greyson started saying “I have to go Tee Tee real bad!  Right now!  I have to go!  Right now!”  We tried to convince him he could hold it, but were obviously not successful.  He went in his car seat. 2.  After finding a local Target to buy Greyson some new clothes, we hit the road again to the BBQ.  When we arrived I started getting Greyson’s clothes changed and Paul went to get Piper out.  Well – she had an accident also.  Her diaper had leaked all over her pants.  She went to the BBQ (with my clients and co-workers) without any pants on. 3.  On the way to church this morning I shared my granola bar with Greyson.  He took too big a bite and threw up all over hims...
