Family Pictures

Family pictures are a treat for me.  Paul does not enjoy them so it usually takes bribing of some kind to get him to participate.  Even though he dreads pictures, he was a sport.  The kids were all over the place, but we still got some great shots.  They were taken at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens by Robin Combs (http://www.facebook.com/robincombsphotography).  She is a co-worker of a good friend from college.  She has kids the same age as mine and did a great job being patient with them and waiting for the right shot.  O ya – and her hometown is Covington, Texas.

The hardscape at the Fort Worth botanical gardens was beautiful.  I had not been there before, but was really impressed – and you don’t have to pay to get in!084 bwThis is only about 6 weeks after Piper started walking really well.  She had a ball walking to Robin while we sat back and watched.

My attempt at portraits

What a weekend – Disaster x4 – Parenthood at its best

So maybe disaster is a strong word, but we definitely had four hiccups.  1.  We kicked the weekend off on Friday evening with a drive to a work BBQ Cook-off in West Arlington.  I underestimated traffic to say the least.  While on the highway, Greyson started saying “I have to go Tee Tee real bad!  Right now!  I have to go!  Right now!”  We tried to convince him he could hold it, but were obviously not successful.  He went in his car seat. 2.  After finding a local Target to buy Greyson some new clothes, we hit the road again to the BBQ.  When we arrived I started getting Greyson’s clothes changed and Paul went to get Piper out.  Well – she had an accident also.  Her diaper had leaked all over her pants.  She went to the BBQ (with my clients and co-workers) without any pants on. 3.  On the way to church this morning I shared my granola bar with Greyson.  He took too big a bite and threw up all over hims...
