No Tricks – Only Treats

So Greyson has been big enough the past few years that he likes to pick what he dresses up as for Halloween.  We start talking about it the year before and he changes his mind countless times throughout the year.  For a while this year he wanted to be the Masked Rider, which would have been cool, but that did not last.  He ended up as Mario from Super Mario Brothers.  Not only did he pick his costume, but he also picked Piper’s.  She was the Princess from Super Mario Brothers.  He wanted her to be the Princess so he could save her – so sweet!

We went to a Halloween carnival at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church.  They put on quite a show!  Greyson loved the large inflatable's.  Outside they had a dragon that you go in the mouth and out the rear, large slides, bungee run, pirate ship slide, rock climbing wall, and lots of other stuff.  Inside they had small games and candy.

Greyson got to eat cotton candy for the first time.  He obviously enjoyed it!

After the carnival, we came home and trick or treated for a while.  Greyson also enjoyed handing the candy out after we went home.

I am so blessed to have two awesome kids!  We all had a great time!

  1. That's so cute! Caden does the same. Changes his mind throughout the whole year...a few times. And, we let him pick Peyton's costume this year too. :)

Day 6

insert Guinness pictures from day 1

My attempt at portraits

So I needed a recent picture of Piper to include in her birthday invitation so I thought I would try to take them on my own.  Of course Greyson did not want to be left out.   When Greyson was little I thought I could take some decent pictures, but I have not had much luck with Piper.  Here is the final birthday invitation.  You can tell the two on the left were taken by a professional :)

What a weekend – Disaster x4 – Parenthood at its best

So maybe disaster is a strong word, but we definitely had four hiccups.  1.  We kicked the weekend off on Friday evening with a drive to a work BBQ Cook-off in West Arlington.  I underestimated traffic to say the least.  While on the highway, Greyson started saying “I have to go Tee Tee real bad!  Right now!  I have to go!  Right now!”  We tried to convince him he could hold it, but were obviously not successful.  He went in his car seat. 2.  After finding a local Target to buy Greyson some new clothes, we hit the road again to the BBQ.  When we arrived I started getting Greyson’s clothes changed and Paul went to get Piper out.  Well – she had an accident also.  Her diaper had leaked all over her pants.  She went to the BBQ (with my clients and co-workers) without any pants on. 3.  On the way to church this morning I shared my granola bar with Greyson.  He took too big a bite and threw up all over hims...
