Having a BALL, watching high school athletes

Over a two week period Greyson attended 3 high school sporting events, two Allen HS football playoff games, and a regional volleyball game.  He loves sports of all kinds.  For a long time he said baseball was his favorite sport, but now he says all sports are his favorite.

Paul took him to the first Allen HS football playoff game down at SMU.  Piper and I stayed home because it was really cold outside and she needed to go to bed early.  They sat with the Slaton family.

The guys had such a great time, they wanted to go to the game the following week at Cowboys Stadium.  This time the whole family went with a bigger group (Slaton, Cox, and Warren families).  Crystal organized us and had lots of goodies like tattoos and noise makers.  Good times.

Greyson and I also attended the 4A Regional Volleyball game.  My mom is a volleyball official and was invited to call the regional tournament so we went to watch. 2010 11 13_0729 2010 11 13_0731 2010 11 13_0733

There was also fun to be had playing on the lights that were flush with the ground outside the arena.  Joys of being 4 :)

Day 6

insert Guinness pictures from day 1

My attempt at portraits

So I needed a recent picture of Piper to include in her birthday invitation so I thought I would try to take them on my own.  Of course Greyson did not want to be left out.   When Greyson was little I thought I could take some decent pictures, but I have not had much luck with Piper.  Here is the final birthday invitation.  You can tell the two on the left were taken by a professional :)

What a weekend – Disaster x4 – Parenthood at its best

So maybe disaster is a strong word, but we definitely had four hiccups.  1.  We kicked the weekend off on Friday evening with a drive to a work BBQ Cook-off in West Arlington.  I underestimated traffic to say the least.  While on the highway, Greyson started saying “I have to go Tee Tee real bad!  Right now!  I have to go!  Right now!”  We tried to convince him he could hold it, but were obviously not successful.  He went in his car seat. 2.  After finding a local Target to buy Greyson some new clothes, we hit the road again to the BBQ.  When we arrived I started getting Greyson’s clothes changed and Paul went to get Piper out.  Well – she had an accident also.  Her diaper had leaked all over her pants.  She went to the BBQ (with my clients and co-workers) without any pants on. 3.  On the way to church this morning I shared my granola bar with Greyson.  He took too big a bite and threw up all over hims...
